SANITURA (ΠΡΟΣΔΙΟΡΙΣΜΟΣ ΣΤΟΧΩΝ ΚΑΙ ΑΝΑΠΤΥΞΗ ΚΑΙΝΟΤΟΜΩΝ ΠΡΟΣΕΓΓΙΣΕΩΝ ΓΙΑ ΕΦΑΡΜΟΓΕΣ ΣΤΗΝ ΥΓΕΙΑ ΚΑΙ ΤΟ ΠΕΡΙΒΑΛΛΟΝ)
Το έργο SANITURA (MIS 5002514) εντάσσεται στη Δράση Στρατηγικής Ανάπτυξης Ερευνητικών και Τεχνολογικών Φορέων και χρηματοδοτείται από το Επιχειρησιακό Πρόγραμμα «Ανταγωνιστικότητα, Επιχειρηματικότητα και Καινοτομία» στο πλαίσιο του ΕΣΠΑ 2014-2020, με τη συγχρηματοδότηση της Ελλάδας και της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης (Ευρωπαϊκό Ταμείο Περιφερειακής Ανάπτυξης). Αντικείμενό του είναι η ενίσχυση των ερευνητικών δραστηριοτήτων του ΙΒΕ στο πλαίσιο της ανάπτυξης και της αριστείας και οι οποίες εντάσσονται στις Εθνικές Αναπτυξιακές Δραστηριότητες, όπως η κατανόηση μηχανισμών ασθενειών/προσδιορισμό βιοδεικτών και νέων φαρμακευτικών στόχων, η ανάπτυξη προκλινικών και ζωϊκών μοντέλων ασθενειών, η εξεύρεση βιοδραστικών μορίων και φυτικών προϊόντων για φαρμακευτικές και καλλυντικές εφαρμογές και η ανάπτυξη περιβαλλοντικής τεχνολογίας για τη μείωση του περιβαλλοντικού αποτυπώματος στον αγροδιατροφικό τομέα. Επίσης, στο πλαίσιο του Υποέργου εκπαιδεύεται σημαντικός αριθμός νέων επιστημόνων, βοηθώντας στη μείωση της διαρροής νέων επιστημόνων στο εξωτερικό, ενώ τα αποτελέσματα των ερευνητικών δραστηριοτήτων ανακοινώνονται τόσο στην επιστημονική κοινότητα όσο και στο ευρύ κοινό.
